Da Nang has so many tourist attractions that you should not ignore when you come here.
1. The Han River Bridge
Visiting Danang, one should not miss the dreamlike Han River and the Han River Bridge – the first swing-bridge in Vietnam which was built mostly by money of the people here.
The bridge was built on the main axis of Bach Dang Street and connected Hai Chau with Son Tra district. The Han River Bridge has a sparkling beauty and is a highlight in youthful Da Nang city.

At about 0h30 daily, the middle part of the Han River Bridge turns 90 degrees on its axis, along the flow of the river paving the way for large ships. At about 3h30, the bridge will come back at the same place. Getting some fresh air on the Han River bank and waiting for the moments in which the bridge swing is a pleasure of many locals as well as tourists. It brings you excitement, indescribable feelings so that many people believed that not watching swinging moment of the Han River Bridge means you have not visited Danang city yet.

2. Son Tra Peninsula
Son Tra Peninsula is the name of a mushroom shaped peninsula in Son Tra district which is 10 kilometers from the city center of Danang to the northeast. Coming to Son Tra, visitors have chance to travel like “up to jungles, down to sea” and experience activities such as discovering Son Tra old jungle; swimming at My Khe beach; visiting Bai But, Linh Ung pagoda; joining fishermen’s work; scuba diving and seeing coral; visiting Tien Sa lighthouse and taking a panoramic view of the city from the top of Son Tra mountain; getting to Mui Nghe – where Da Nang sunrise is first caught…

3. Hai Van Pass
Hai Van Pass is 20km in length, located in the border between Thua Thien Hue province and Danang city. With a height of nearly 500 meters above sea level, Hai Van Pass is the most beautiful and the most dangerous pass of Vietnam as well. From the top of Hai Van Pass, you can see the impressive landscape with beautiful coast of the country. Those are Lang Co pictureque fishing village, Danang – modern city next to the Han River, Son Tra peak covered by clouds all year round, stretch of Non Nuoc white sandy beach, protruding rocks of the Marble Mountain… Currently, despite of the Hai Van tunnel, many tourists still choose the treacherous pass over the high mountains, abyss to see firsthand those picturesque landscapes.

4. Marble Mountain
Marble Mountains is located about 7km from the center of Danang city. It is next to Non Nuoc tourist area and situated in Hoa Hai ward, Ngu Hanh Son district.
The Marble Mountains consists of five mountains: Kim Son (mountain of metal), Moc Son (wood mountain), Thuy Son (water mountain), Hoa Son (fire mountain) and Tho Son (mountain of Earth). It looks like the oasis emerged between a immense dune that waves crashes on shore all year round. Visiting the Marble Mountain, visitors often come to the big mountain Thuy Son, Tam Thai Pagoda, the Huyen Khong Cave, the Linh Nham cave, the Van Thong cave, the Lang Hu cave, the Van Nguyet cave… At the foot of Ngu Hanh Son, there is a stone carving village – Non Nuoc with lots of works of sculpture art that are carved by hard-working local craftsmen.

5. Non Nuoc stone carving village
The village was formed in the 18th century by an artisan from Thanh Hoa named Huynh Ba Quat. The whole village living by this occupation until the 19th century. In Non Nuoc, art products made of marble are abundant such as Buddha statues, saint statues, statues of people, animals, objects, smooth round colorful stone bracelet with intricate elaborate carvings,… Visiting the Marble Mountain, visitors can witness the artisans craft beautiful works from natural stone, then choose souvenirs made of stone for their relatives comfortably.
6. Mount Lord Ba Na

Mount Lord Ba Na is located in Hoa Ninh commune, Hoa Vang district and is about 40 km from Danang to the southwest. Ba Na has tremendous ecological value and tourism and is a national natural reservation. When you are in Ba Na at an altitude of 1489m compared to sea level, you can feel the distinct 4 seasons in one day: morning – spring, noon – summer, afternoon – fall, evening– winter. The weather is always dry because there is not much rain here. Passing the extremely long cable segment and slope and standing from the top of the mountain, you can see the whole of vast space: the sea, Da Nang city, green rice paddies field … Come here, you should not miss places such as Linh Ung pagoda with the Buddha statue 27 meters high, Mo stream with clear water, Toc Tien waterfalls in summer…

7. Pham Van Dong Beach
Pham Van Dong Beach is located in My Phuoc Ward, Hai Chau district, right the East ocean park. It is a public beach which was built at a cost of 12 billion. It attracts locals and tourists from everywhere. The beach has an area of 7.726 square kilometers with ancillary works like a fountain, 6 freshwater reservoirs, 26 shower suites, 24 with composite dressing room. The beach can accommodate from 3,500 to 4,000 people coming to the beach every day.

8. Reef Nam O

Nam O village is situated in Nam Hoa Hiep Ward, Lien Chieu District, Da Nang – between Danang and Hai Van Pass. About 2km to the southeast from the center of Nam O village, there is a reef which is called reef Nam O by fishermen living in this area. There are lots of seaweed located in reef Nam O, therefore it is home to many valuable species of fish and seafood. Based on the experience of local people, you should visit the reef Nam O at the time the tide come down. At that time, you can see beautiful sand dunes and rocks. After visiting reef Nam O, you can use the boat back to the west along the Cu De river, take an eco – tour to visit ethnic villages of Ka-Tu people in Hoa Bac commune, Hoa Vang district.

9. Cam Ne mat village

About 14 km away from the center of Da Nang city to southwest, Cam Ne mat village is located in Hoa Tien commune, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city. It has long been famous for the traditional flower mat that were ever present in the inner court of the Nguyen emperors. Advantage of Cam Ne flower mat is that it is thicker, softer and more durable than the mats of other areas. Particularly, you will feel cool in hot summer and warm in winter when lying Cam Ne mats with aromatic grass. At present, a pair of mats 1.6m x 2m in size costs VND500,000.

10. The ancient village Tuy Loan
Tuy Loan ancient village is next to the National Highway 14B, situated in the southwest of Danang city, about 15km from the center. According to the residual traces, Tuy Loan ancient village is over 500 years old. The highlight is the ancient house which has been recognized as a historical monument with architectural and artistic national level. Tuy Loan family temple festival is taken place on the 9th of January annual. You can attend the special boat race of the local boys and participate in folk games such as pushing sticks, chess competition, human chess, hearing Bai Choi,…Visiting Tuy Loan ancient village, you should not miss the opportunity to taste the specialties here: Quang noodle and rice cracker. There is singing that “Tuy Loan – everything is good / Stop taking too much – the best things come to your husband and children”
