Today we would like to introduce “Chicken stewed with medicinal onion“.  It’s  a Viet Nam specialty food with taste and quite fattened broth, and the sweet smell of steamed buns made of rice flour instead of bland food. The masses who dwell in the middle of Viet Nam is simple- mind, and straightforward, but friendship, as a consequence, their traditional foods usually are tasty, more salty than South food but rustic. Making Chicken stewed with medicinal onion is not complicated as you think. Following there you will have wonderful chicken food.

  • Chicken
  • Medicinal onion minced
  • Salt, sugar, oil
  • Fermented shrimp paste

1. Clean and drain chicken before chopping into well –size bits for eating

2. Marinate chicken chopped with 1 tablespoon salt, 1 tablespoon sugar , medicinal onion minced and oil. Wait about 30 minutes before cooking

3. Heat oil in large pan, add chicken and fry quickly. Afterthat, simmer with 3 tablespoon water until the broth thickened.

4. Season with 1 tsp fermented shrimp paste before the turn off fire.
