Chicken sticky rice is a popular dish for breakfast of almost people in Da Nang because it is easy to make, delicious and take away food. They can bring it to schools or office for the late breakfast. Sometimes, it is considered as a fast food but more healty and nutrious then bread or any things else.
In chicken sticky rice, the local tries to make it follow the rule of five basic factor elements: metal , wood, water, fire, earth which refer to five basic colours of univer: white, brown, blue, red, yellow. So we have white of chicken meat, brown of fried onion, red of sweet chilli sauce, yellow of turmeric and green of Vietnamese mint. Moreover, this food is balanced between cool and heat of chicken meat and Vietnamese. In addition, sticky rice is very good for for stomachache. For all of this, it is clear to say that chicken sticky rice is a health food.
Here is chicken sticky rice recipe
Ingredients: serve 5
• 400g chicken meat
• Spring onion, salt, turmeric , sweet chilli sauce.
• 2 bowl sitck rice
• 1 bowl water
• Vietnamese mint
• Sliced thin onion
Preparation:
• Wash sticky rie with water twice, mix with turmeric for 10 mins then wash again. Sometimes, some pieces are not ready, you can sprinkle a little bit water and cover by thin rice paper and close the cooker
• For 2 bowl of sticky rice add 1 bowl water and cook by electricity cooker.
• Boil chicken
• Tear chicken then make salad with salt, crushed pepper, onion, seasoning powder and Vietnamese and press it in 5 mins.
• Take ready sticky rice out, add salad chicken, sweet chilli sauce and enjoy it!
