Pork stew with Vietnamese fermented shrimp is stinky for the foreigners but it is really exotic side dish and served with hot rice and crunchy and fresh cucumber in rainy day. There are two ways to receive wonderful meal.

Ingredient :

  • 400 gr bacon
  • 3 tps fermented shrimp paste
  • 4 cloves of lemongrass
  • Sugar, salt, chili
  • Cucumber and garlic minced

Method 1:
1. In bowl , combine the Vietnamese fermented shrimp paste, sugar and chili flake and mĩ well .

2. In the large pan , fry the bacon under medium heat with oil from 5 to 7 minutes to render . the fat. Then add minced lemongrass and garlic and stir well still fragrant.

3. Then add shrimp paste mixture and simmer on low heat 10 minutes untill the sauce thichkened.

Method 2:
1. Boil meat about 3 minutes with salt and then take it out. Drench it in water before dicing.

2. Heat oil and fry mince garlic until brown. Next, stir-fry bacon under medium heat, dress fermented shrimp paste later.

3. Season mixture with salt and sugar. Simmer on low heat with a little bit water until the sauce thickened.
